Oct 11, 2024 · Jungle Cruise is great at night because it captures the exotic and mysterious Heart of Darkness foreboding feel that a cruise through the jungle should have, but juxtaposes the ride’s normal wry and corny humor alongside that. As an added bonus, many skippers deviate from the standard script a bit more at night, especially when there are many children around.

FastPass+ was discontinued and replaced with Disney Genie in 2021. However, due to public outcry, it was announced in 2022 that FastPass would be coming back to the parks. The ride has a long wooden bench on each side of the boat, so guests face each other and sit side by side. The bench doesn’t have a back, so if you lean back you’ll find yourself against the slightly curved side of the boat. The artificial fog seems much more mysterious at night and the tunnel portion is also better at night. And the visibility is fine, if anything, the darkness just hides any visual intrusions and makes it better.

This ride was an opening day attraction at both Disneyland Park and Magic Kingdom, and it features a ride through the rivers of the world, accompanied by a Skipper who tells jokes and makes plenty of puns along the way.
