Yes, read the manga! I actually read it first before watching the anime (and followed it til the end) and I'd suggest you read from the start! The anime covers up to about chapter 15 (so you can start from chapter 16 too if you'd like), but it only covers a third of the manga (which is 49 chaps with lotsss of extra chapters). Enjoy!!
Depends on how well made the anime adaptation is, it's always great to see an adaption go above and beyond (e.g. Bocchi the rock). Most of the time its still enjoyable to see the characters come to life with the animation and voice acting. If you're reading one of the two, read the original source.
