Well first off, I should probably bring up that I've only watched the anime, from what dubbed episodes have been released this far. I haven't read the manga. Not much of a manga reader, nor subbed anime person. I'm kind of picky.

Some anime may be more recommended to watch subbed like Monogatari series, or dubbed like Cowboy Bebop. However, if you prefer dubs or subs, there is nothing wrong with picking one over the other, even if it may not be recommended for said anime.
