Jun 11, 2015 · @Malachi It is true that Jericho's walls came down 16th-17th century, apparently as a result of a major earthquake known to have struck the area. Jericho was abandoned and the walls were not rebuilt. Any Hebrew invasion and takeover of the Canaanite hinterland could not have been before the mid-14th century because of the Amarna letters.
