May 7, 2015 · Well, not much happens, except the desperation Hot Pursuit brings to its attempts to wring laughs out of the contrast. It didn’t have to be that way. It would be a stretch to say that Hot Pursuit opens well, but its first scenes at least suggest some effort was put into it.
