   GameMaker. I have a feeling that this engine is past its prime, and I've always heard it's a real pain to use for bigger projects and turn-based games, and that it doesn't handle lots of UI well.    • The main limitation that gms has is that it is not the best engine for 3D games. Other than that you can make those types of games with any engine, game maker included I personally think the engine is more or less irrelevant. Yes, Game Maker does have a lot of limitations, but only because they try to be as intuitive and easy as possible.

   • No different than any other engine. There's also addons in Unity 2019 that do pixel perfect camera stuff, so that's a problem of the past. Gamemaker is not past it's prime either. It is a pain when a project gets bigger because it gets harder to abstract out with the limitations of the language and how objects operate together.
