I remember watching the full movie on YouTube, and even rewatching it with friends because I liked it so much. Not sure if my tastes have matured, or maybe I need to rewatch. All the characters were extremely forgettable, Freddy doing so well against Jason in the real word makes no sense, and a horrible story.

Ideally, Freddy vs Jason would have been at its best when the rumblings about it began in the late 80s and certainly shortly after the Jason Goes to Hell ending. It would have had a different vibe, one truer to the spirit of both original franchises and probably less goofiness that the cgi effects afforded (like the pinball bouncing).
Ten years after being hinted at in the final scene of 1993’s Jason Goes to Hell, two of cinema’s most popular horror icons would finally share the big screen in Freddy vs. Jason. But after years of fan speculation and script rewrites, was it worth the wait?
