Floyd E. Norman (born June 22, 1935) [1] is an American animator, writer, and cartoonist. Over the course of his career, he has worked for various animation companies, among them Walt Disney Animation Studios, Hanna-Barbera Productions, Ruby-Spears, Film Roman and Pixar.

While he understood why Disney made the changes, Norman is a fierce supporter of his former employer; he wants the company to re-release Song Of The South and embrace that part of its past.
Feb 16, 2022 · Since February 7th, the film is now available to stream on the Criterion Channel, along with a selection of short films made by Vignette Films, Inc., one of the first Black-owned production companies in Hollywood that was created by Norman along with Leo Sullivan, Norman Edelen and Richard Allen.
