Nestled in the southwest corner of Brooklyn, Dyker Heights is an underrated neighborhood with a reputation that largely stems from its iconic holiday light displays. But there’s much more to this picturesque enclave than Christmas lights.
Give me advice on visiting Dyker Heights. Hi neighbors! My family will be visiting from out of state and there will be approx 10 of us, including 5 kids under 11, attempting to visit and view the lights in Dyker Heights next week. Despite living in the city almost ten years, I’ve never been to Dyker Heights nor seen the lights.
Christmas is the best time to visit Dyker Heights, an upscale neighborhood in Brooklyn. A stroll around the ornate Christmas decorations has become a local tradition. Seeing how each house compete with others for the best and most impressive festive layout is of much fun.

Dyker Heights is a residential neighborhood known for its elaborate Christmas light displays. It features tree-lined streets, spacious homes, and a family-friendly atmosphere. Fort Hamilton, adjacent to Dyker Heights, is home to the historic military base of the same name.
