Lawrence of Arabia is my favorite movie. Bridge on the River Kwai and Brief Encounter are probably in my top 10. I consider all three to be character study/tragic masterpieces. But I find Dr. Zhivago a bit dry and unnecessarily long. Sharif’s character feels uninteresting.
