Heavy rains, poor drainage, and even nearby construction projects can put you at risk for flood damage. Flood maps are one tool that communities use to know which areas have the highest risk of flooding. FEMA maintains and updates data through flood maps and risk assessments.
Get accurate and up to date flood zone information anywhere in Florida. Find flood zone information by street address using our web-based Flood Zone Tool. If you are not in a flood zone, you can also view flood zone maps to determine if you are near one.
Nassau County and its municipalities rely on FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) to set building standards for coastal areas and floodplains. FEMA uses the maps to help determine flood insurance premiums, and lenders use the maps to identify properties where flood insurance is required.
