  2. The movie is so well done in the writing and especially acting, that you feel empathy for someone's last moments as they show what they did at the same time. This is why I always admire anyone, religious or not, who has the ability to forgive anyone for any act.

  5. Dec 29, 1995 · Dead Man Walking has great performances, relevant messages about life and controversial topics like the death penalty, and a fine story. However, the movie can be overly sentimental at times, plus it could've been cut a good 10 minutes. Nonetheless, it's worth a watch.
