Dead island 'original' has more variety in enemies and locations. Dead island riptide has more weapons to chose from (legendaries were not realy implemented however) and more zombie types (but you almost exclusively fight zombies).
I don’t, it’s pairing with co op players and they all have OP guns. Don’t get me wrong I love mods and I’ll download them for most games if I can. It’s just the reason I prefer definitive edition!
