  1. Cthulhu Wars has considerably more flexibility with player count though feels different with two and can lean towards more chaotic over 6. 3-5 means it will make it to the table more often, and as a bonus -- setup is trivial.

  2. Part of the appeal of Cthulhu Wars for me is that it is pretty easy to teach and fast to play, so adding extra complexity and high risk/reward units is not a good thing. The game plays best IMO at 4 but 3,5 and 6 are also fun.
