  3. Canton is a bit shabby around Cowbridge Road, but near Victoria and Thompson's Parks are lovely. Roath is perfectly safe. A bit untidy as you head towards Cathays due to the volume of students, but it's in no way rough. Splott has a reputation, I used to live there and didn't really like it but it's boring if anything.
