It is in other areas that the film springs surprises, two in fact. The first resides in the fact that the style of filming, apt as it, gives no indication whatever that the writer/director is François Ozon.

It's a thoughtful exploration of difficult questions and themes and uses an effective script, colors, dream sequences, and a documentary style format to explore them.
