For a proper match, you go into Custom Match (or AI Practice mode if you want to Co-op against the AI) and invite your friends from there. The way it works is that it's Peer 2 Peer, with Steam being the Master Server, doing the work connecting people to each other.

Apr 24, 2023 · I found that the base game its self runs great, but I wasn't able to play on multiplayer while using Linux, nor was I able to get the corresponding achievements. Even the one that's about winning on 10 different maps on the hardest setting vs AI; it just didn't work.
Downloadable Content. Since the release of Brütal Legend, 2 DLC packs have been released, the first of which, the "Tears of the Hextadon" pack was free for 2 weeks on PS3 upon release and features only multiplayer maps and the Blade of Ormagöden Axe Treatment .
