- The Ending Is Rushed. Many fans aren't happy with the way Bleach ended. The effort to defeat the Sternritter and the alliance between Ichigo, Uryu, and Aizen is widely considered to be rushed and poorly done.
- The Cast Is Underutilized. The fact that Bleach has way too many characters is an even bigger problem because they ignore characters who already exist and have potential.
- The Pacing Is Off. Bad pacing is a common issue for older shonen anime. Some of this is probably because the staff had to work on a weekly schedule.
- There Are Too Many Off-Screen Fights. Bleach has some amazing fights, but it also has an annoying tendency to skip over potentially awesome battles with a quick summary - or nothing at all.

- Chojiro Sasakibe. The Lieutenant of the 1st Division, Chojiro Sasakibe, was a pretty honorable figure who respected Yamamoto and strove to protect him every step of the way.
- Kaname Tosen. It's hard to deal with betrayal, especially when said traitor is a close friend that people have shared some great memories with. This is why Komamura and Hisagi found it hard to digest why Tosen would ever choose to betray them and Soul Society.
