- His Occupation. It's not explicitly revealed where Blade gets the money and resources he needs to battle the vampiric menace in the films, and audiences are left to assume that it's a combination of clandestine donations and mercenary-for-hire work.
- His Father. It's unknown if the Blade films ever intended to reveal the fate of Blade's biological father, but the comics have already gone down that road.
- His Absorption Power. One power that the films never show is Blade's ability to draw out poisons and other ailments/afflictions from other beings. This allowed him to deal with several threats over the course of the comics, including the absorption of a corruptive element that made Robbie Reyes a far more lethal and dangerous version of Ghost Rider.
- His Enemies. The Blade film franchise pits the character solely against the vampire houses operating in the shadows. From a story perspective, this makes sense as it keeps the focus entirely on an action/horror narrative with its own unique tone.
First is a fun movie, good by 90s superhero standards. Second movie is a little bit better. The practical vampire effects are really good, some of the CGI, not so much.
