- Blade 2
It's doubtful any Blade fans are surprised to see Blade: Trinity take the bottom spot on this list. The threequel has become famous for being awful, although it's not unwatchable, and the vitriol against it is a bit overblown. It's a flawed film to be sure, and the way it treats Dracula is criminal, but Snipes is still fun to watch as Blade, and Ry...
While it's a fairly common opinion that Blade 2 heavily outclasses the original, we feel the difference in quality isn't quite the gulf some describe. Director Stephen Norrington's original Blade actually does some things better than the original, including its central villain Deacon Frost (Stephen Dorff), whose cool, calculating ways stand in cont...
With no disrespect intended to Norrington, the fact that a filmmaker and storyteller the stature of Guillermo del Toro is behind Blade 2 is readily apparent when watching it. Blade 2 takes just about everything that worked in the first film and dials it up to 11, as well as turning out spectacular action scenes that make the action in the original ...
- His Occupation. It's not explicitly revealed where Blade gets the money and resources he needs to battle the vampiric menace in the films, and audiences are left to assume that it's a combination of clandestine donations and mercenary-for-hire work.
- His Father. It's unknown if the Blade films ever intended to reveal the fate of Blade's biological father, but the comics have already gone down that road.
- His Absorption Power. One power that the films never show is Blade's ability to draw out poisons and other ailments/afflictions from other beings. This allowed him to deal with several threats over the course of the comics, including the absorption of a corruptive element that made Robbie Reyes a far more lethal and dangerous version of Ghost Rider.
- His Enemies. The Blade film franchise pits the character solely against the vampire houses operating in the shadows. From a story perspective, this makes sense as it keeps the focus entirely on an action/horror narrative with its own unique tone.

I recently watched Blade (1998) and I loved it. Sure, it's a little over the top at times, but it's still entertaining and a good superhero movie. Also, I have to say that Wesley Snipes is a badass. However, I've noticed that the ratings drop with each sequel. Are they worth it or can I skip them?
