   In general, the stories are fast-paced, there's plenty of action, and the special effects look good. That being said, the acting performances typically leave something to be desired. (Also, some of the special effects, particularly near the end of the first Blade, are a bit cringe-worthy and dated)

   Is Blade 2 better than the first?

   • My assessment is that Blade 2 is superior to the first and an improvement in many areas. First is the expanded story and cast, it includes a tactical unit of elite warriors. That was definitely a plus and very interesting.
