Give it a watch if you like prison movies and classic Eastwood. I watch this movie every year. Super entertaining. I love how there’s no dialogue at all during the escape. It’s a fantastic film. I love the tense scenes with the prison bully, the prep for the escape.

Recommendation. I had pure fun watching this underrated classic film. Definitely one of the greatest prison escape movie ever made, in my book. The Shawshank Redemption has a great story, of course, and some top performances, but I see Escape from Alcatraz as a better movie.
