Part of the Lincoln Mark Series, the Mark VII was a series of V8 powered luxury coupes that featured the LSC (Luxury Sports Coupe) amongst its variants. The Lincoln Mark VII was in production until 1992 and was replaced by the Lincoln Mark VIII.

May 11, 2023 · The Mark VII was showing its age by 1990 and lived among coupe rivals that had moved beyond early Eighties styling. To keep the coupe compliant Mark VII received a driver’s side airbag via the four-spoke steering wheel from the Taurus, which was shared with most other Ford passenger vehicles that year (and Aston Martins).
The Mark VII was downsized further for 1984, sharing the Ford Fox platform with the Ford Thunderbird, Mercury Cougar and Lincoln Continental sedan; the model was offered only as a coupe. The Lincoln Mark VIII grew slightly in size for 1993, derived again from the Ford Thunderbird and Mercury Cougar.
