The Lodgers is an Irish/Gothic/Drama/Horror/History/Romance, probably some more shit I'm forgetting, I don't know. this movie is pretty alright. The acting is (mostly) up to par, the atmosphere is great, the mood was honestly spot-on, it looked great and the shots were framed nicely.
On the surface, The Lodgers is a gorgeous gothic tale reminiscent of Edgar Allen Poe or classic Hammer Horror Production. Between the haunting estate or its eerily enchanting woods, you'll want to love the macabre romance of it all.
Charlotte Vega and Bill Milner play twin siblings at the heart of the tale, and Vega exudes a strength of personality and pride that is infectious, while Milner is frailer and more in tune with the despair.
