   I just didn't get it. The filmmakers had an opportunity to explore Thatcherism and its many ills, while at the same time maybe showing the human behind the hateful policies. I agree that it felt as if the movie was made merely to put Streep in the old age make-up and have her dodder about doing a Brit accent.
