Recommended for fans of Reynolds, Egoyan or basic suspense thrillers. Don't be put off by the critics who have one thing in common - they have never made a movie.

Dec 12, 2014 · “The Captive” may appear to bite off a little more than it can chew but it’s one of the most satisfyingly baroque thrillers of the year, and thanks to a perfectly judged performance by Ryan Reynolds, it’s quietly heartbreaking, too.
It's very much like Prisoners, both the story and the atmosphere, I thought it was pretty good. The ending did feel a bit rushed, especially when Spoiler. All in all a good movie with a great performance from Ryan Reynolds! What did you guys think?

Dec 12, 2014 · The Captive is a strange take on drama or thriller. It doesn't build up to intelligent conclusion or revelation as the movie gives some key point of the plot early, instead it's a merry-go-round of twisted perspectives and timelines.
