Dreary suburban drama with a goopy horror finale, Society seems to be about a whole lot of ideas - when in truth it presents one or two pedestrian concepts and then repeats them ad nauseum.
Society is probably his most well known movie work but his stuff in Faust, Freaked, Nightmare on Elm Street 3/4 and Bride of Reanimator is great too. He also designed the Slipknot masks for most of their looks besides the initial masks and the latest ones if I recall correctly.

- Fight Club – The most obvious reading is of this as a classic critique of the false consciousness and alienation the working classes suffer under consumer capitalism, but no doubt there are other interpretations out there.
- A Bug’s Life – Useful for illustrating basic Marxist concepts.
- Black Mirror: The National Anthem – Charlie Brooker’s short film – The Prime Minister has to have sex with a pig live on T.V. to save the life of the nation’s princess whose been kidnapped.
- Catfish – About a guy that meets a girl on Facebook, and on taking a trip across the States to meets her realises she’s not as good looking as her photos suggested.
Society (1989): WTF did I just watch? Recommendation. I've seen a lot of strange movies over the past few days including Nothing But Trouble (1991) and Freaked (1993). I continued that trend with 1989's Society, a movie I only became aware of a few days prior.
The 1989 cult horror classic Society is remembered for its sensational effects and disturbing undertones. But it's the movie's grisly portrayal of the rich exploiting the poor that's the scariest thing of all.

Yeah, Society is one of my favorites. Even though it was mostly a funny movie, it had some of the most disturbing imagery I've ever seen. Wish there were more films like it.
