Some comments have been rather scathing but I believe that New Police Story is the best Jackie Chan film to come out since Drunken Master 2, especially as far as action is concerned. The story, although not perfect, is more than adequate and is something of a departure for Chan.
New Police Story is a reboot of the Police Story series and is the fifth installment of the series. New Police Story relies much more on drama and heavy action than its predecessors. A sequel to the film, titled New Police Story 2 , is currently in development.
