Life was good in the sense that I found it entertaining, but it looked too polished and felt somewhat incomplete as a story. The alien design was a little disappointing; it suggested the creative team wanted to commit to a number of potentially interesting ideas that had come before without actually committing to them.
Miranda's was actually the worst for me. Drifting off in to space until your death is bad enough, but you also have the knowledge that all life on Earth will probably be wiped out.

I'm not trying to get too philosophical here but life (in general, not the movie) is about human error and being able to survive despite the setback. That's essentially what the plot of LIFE (movie) is: The astronauts having to make critical decisions to survive after they fuck up on the ship.
