For a modern haunted house slasher, it really does tick all the boxes. Creepy villains, a foreboding atmosphere, (some) characters who actually make the right decisions, excellent kills, genuine OMG moments... Haunt is surely one of the great modern slashers - certainly Halloweeny slashers.

Haunt (2019) is one of my favorite horror movies I have seen in a while. Discussion. I just watched Haunt the other day for the first time. I must say, I thought it was really good. That had some of the best tension I have ever seen in a horror movie honestly.
