Sep 14, 2001 · In this case, there’s a horror scene, and then we see it’s a film, and then we see the heroine and her friends watching it–and, yes, they’re cute as they giggle at their own reactions, but openings like this are empty stylistic exercises.
Unusual fantasy-horror mix is compelling and disturbing, Glasshouse sustains interest while echoing the strange times we are living through.
