95 minutes ‧ R ‧ 1972. Roger Ebert. February 16, 1972. 3 min read. “Cisco Pike” is a long way from being a masterpiece, but it has a nice hang-loose texture to it, and a group of good performances. The performance that holds it together comes, somewhat surprisingly, from Kris Kristofferson.
A really good movie with an unlikely cast and virtually no plot. Kris Kristofferson is a singer whose career has seen better days, blackmailed into selling drugs by crooked cop Gene Hackman.

Jun 9, 2020 · Cisco Pike is out now on Blu-Ray in the UK, released by Indicator. The picture quality is excellent, with a nice natural grain and incredible detail. One shot near the end is strangely soft, but I believe it’s a stylistic technique where the filmmaker has cropped in on the image.
