With a colour palette seemingly syphoned from a literal rainbow and a slate of catchy songs courtesy of Lin-Manuel Miranda, this lively animated musical will brighten the mood of even the crankiest curmudgeon.
- Mixtape (2021) Director: Valerie Weiss. Cast: Gemma Brooke Allen, Julie Bowen, Audrey Hsieh. Depending on when you were born, ‘feel-old movie’ might be the more appropriate category for this late ’90s period piece about a tween girl learning about the parents she never knew through the music they shared with each other.
