  3. At Close Range (1986) was absolutely chilling movie--Penn and Walken gave Oscar caliber performances. Discussion. I just saw the movie on HBO Max and its was awesome. Christopher Walken's performance was one of the best that he has done. Sean Penn delivered an excellent performance as well.
