I just received the very sad news that my dear friend and film composer Irving Gertz passed away at the age of 93.
Irving Gertz. Composer. 19 May 1915 to 14 November 2008. A composer in demand for Hollywood B-movies from the 1940s on, Gertz achieved particular success with breakout hits It Came From Outer Space (1953) and The Incredible Shrinking Man (1957).
