The University of Texas School of Law (Texas Law) is the law school of the University of Texas at Austin, a public research university in Austin, Texas. According to Texas Law’s ABA disclosures, 87.20% of the Class of 2022 obtained full-time, long-term bar passage required employment (i.e. as attorneys) nine months after graduation.
Robert (Bobby) Chesney is the Dean of the University of Texas School of Law, where he also holds the James A. Baker III Chair in the Rule of Law and World Affairs. Before becoming dean, he was Texas Law’s Associate Dean for Academic Affairs for 12 years.
The School of Law has one of the most extensive arrays of experiential learning opportunities of any law school. We prepare our students to succeed in varied professional paths by offering numerous courses and programs that bridge the classroom and the practice of law.
