The University of Texas School of Law (Texas Law) is the law school of the University of Texas at Austin, a public research university in Austin, Texas. According to Texas Law’s ABA disclosures, 87.20% of the Class of 2022 obtained full-time, long-term bar passage required employment (i.e. as attorneys) nine months after graduation.
Admission. The University of Texas at Austin's School of Law is one of the premier public law schools in the country. Each year, we receive over 5,000 applications from around the globe to enroll an incoming class of around 300 students.

First year students at Texas Law take six core courses which cover the traditional first year curriculum of civil procedure, constitutional law, contracts, criminal law, property, and torts. In addition, students take courses in legal writing and communication as well as a course in persuasive writing and advocacy.
