Ilya Viktorovich Naishuller (Russian: Илья Викторович Найшуллер; born November 19, 1983) [1] is a Russian film director and musician. He is known for directing the action films Hardcore Henry (2015) and Nobody (2021). He is also the founder of the film production company Versus Pictures and the indie rock band Biting Elbows.
The band is perhaps best known for its music videos for the songs "The Stampede" and "Bad Motherfucker". The videos, directed by frontman Ilya Naishuller , went viral because of their first-person perspective, special effects, and action.
Also described as Insane Office Escape 2, the innovative first-person video quickly spread throughout the internet and has reached 3.5 million views on YouTube in 3 days. I spoke with director and lead singer Ilya Naishuller about the making of the music video.
