Ian G. Roberts is Professor of Linguistics at the University of Cambridge and a fellow of Downing College, Cambridge. [1] He also serves on the Advisory Council of METI (Messaging Extraterrestrial Intelligence) .
Ian Roberts is the Principal Investigator on the ReCoS project. He specialises in comparative and historical syntax, using and developing the 'principles and parameters' approach to cross-linguistic variation.
