    Ian Nelson is a trained actor, singer, and dancer who portrayed a young Derek Hale in Season 3 and 4 on MTV's Teen Wolf.

    Nelson is the son of Mark and Janie Nelson and is one of four children.

    At one time, he attended Forsyth Country Day School in Lewisville, North Carolina where he performed in their productions of You're a Good Man Charlie Brown and Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
