- Overview
- Description
I, Frankenstein follows a modern day tale of an immortal Frankenstein's monster, Adam Frankenstein (Aaron Eckhart), who emerges in an ongoing war between gargoyles and demons. Wedged in this seething battle is an arms race between the two clans to find out the inner secret of Frankenstein's immortality.
The film is seen as a continuation of the Mary Shelley classic, picking up where the story left off. Director Stuart Beattie told IGN's Scott Collura at San Diego Comic-Con 2013 that "if Mary Shelley's story was the story of how the first man-made human was made, then this is the story of how that being becomes human."
Expect to see tons of action waged in the film, as this will not be your prototypical Frankenstein movie. Eckhart has taken up kali stick fighting for the film and confessed that he performed all of the fight scenes himself. With Frankenstein living as an eternal being, he has chosen this as his method to defend himself against predators.
