Chapter 4 Summary. David wanders through a forest when he hears music for the first time coming from a beautiful house. Suddenly a boy appears and yells at him, “What the hell! You thief, forcing your way into people’s grounds in broad daylight! I’ll show you…coming here and I’ll give you a damn good hiding!” (62).
