The University of Cambridge’s oldest graduate college, Hughes Hall bears the name of its founding Principal, Elizabeth Phillips Hughes. Established in 1885, we now accept postgraduate students and mature undergraduates in all areas of study and research, offering scholarships and bursaries targeted at new and continuing students.
Hughes Hall is a constituent college of the University of Cambridge in England. It is the oldest of the University of Cambridge's postgraduate colleges. The college also admits undergraduates , though undergraduates admitted by the college must be aged 21 or over.
Hughes Hall is located right in the heart of Cambridge, halfway between the railway station and the market square. Our main site is a quiet and secluded group of buildings clustered around the University cricket ground, on the edge of the old centre of Cambridge.
