Jun 8, 2022 · Just to reiterate, there is no such button combination as pwr+vol up+vol down. You are simply doing two identical things at once (1 - holding down pwr, and 2 - holding down vol up+vol down).
The first is to reset the password from your device by tapping or clicking the "Forgot Password" button when prompted to sign into your BlackBerry ID. You will have to answer your security question and follow the on-screen instructions. The second option is to reset your password from a computer.

Jul 27, 2009 · Hey, I'll even take a certain physical button key combo (common to all BBs) as a reset button. How about ESC+Mute+Power = Reset? Sure as heck wouldn't be too hard to code into the OS.
Power off your device and wait a few seconds. Press and hold Volume Up + Power buttons together until recovery mode screen appears. (These button combinations can change on different modals.) When you see the device logo release the Power button, but keep holding Volume Up until the recovery mode screen comes.
