Jul 18, 2009 · When I hit the "Turn Power Off" key it seems like it just goes to sleep mode, and not completely shut off... Use the ALT + RIGHT SHIFT KEY + DEL method and you will not loose any programs or just remove you battery and put i back in. Quickpull is a great app also.

Blackberry Storm users have to remove their battery to soft reset the phone. This method can get cumbersome as you have to extract your phone from multiple layers of protection and the holster.
