- Performing a Hard Reset: Open the battery cover on the back of the BlackBerry. Remove the battery from the phone. You can perform a hard reset on the BlackBerry Z10 by pressing and holding the Power button on the top of the phone for about 10 seconds.

No way to get around it unfortunately and no tricks with the Desktop software, if you plug it into the PC it will ask for the device password. Most common passwords are were wersdf 1234 123456 pass password qwerty. I think you can erase it using the desktop software.
Jul 5, 2008 · Go to Password. The tab should now be selectable to disable the password. Click disable. Save. Exit back to Options. Click on Memory. Select Memory card support "on". Save. You will now be prompted to enter the password for the final time in your life! Exit back to the main screen and try it out, lock unlock, no password!!! Have a beer.
