Laser Squad is played in a series of game turns. Each player, during his turn, controls a small number of units which represent humans, droids or other creatures. Each unit has its own individual name and characteristics which affect the abilities and activity of that unit.
This site is dedicated to Laser Squad - created by Jullian Gollop over 30 years ago, and yet still as playable today as then. Many of today's games take concepts and elements from Laser Squad which was in turn based on an earlier game - RebelStar.
Designed by Julian Gollop, Laser Squad is a turn-based strategy game which gives the player a squad of space marines to pit against a host of scenarios. The influence of this game can be seen today in titles such as the X-Com or UFO series and Laser Squad Nemesis.
