  2. Aug 20, 2024 · Provides an amazing view over Suwa lake and Suwa itself. In general a very tranquil place and not too busy. Offers some play area for kids and a long slide down as well.

  3. Lake Suwa is a 10 mins walk from the JR station. It is essentially an onsen town. We took a walk by the Lake and spotted the Lake Suwa-ko Geyser Center where you can enjoy the sight of a dynamic geyser and the "Nanatsu-gama," or the spot where seven hot springs gush. (check out the video).

    Lake Suwa is known for its charming scenery, no matter the season. In the spring, the cherry blossom trees surrounding the lake come into bloom, making this area ideal for a picnic under the blossoms, as well as for walks and cycling tours.

    In summertimeyou can enjoy taking boat tours or renting a paddle boat. There are even fishing tours! At night time there are short, ten-minute firework shows over the lake.
