First places get seeded into RO8 bracket in the form AD and BC. ro12 is like this, 2A-3C 2B-3D 2C-3B 2D-3A. Where those are placed is unbeknownst to me, but im sure it was prerecorded. This format is very common for tournaments like this.

Feb 23, 2020 · IEM Katowice 2020 will take place from February 24th to March 1st at the Spodek Arena in Katowice, Poland. The tournament will start with a group stage in Double Elimination BO3 format, with six finalists competing in Single Elimination BO3+BO5 for the lion's share of the $500,000 prize pool.
