Nicknamed ‘Ruby’, the Portugal international began his senior career at Benfica, progressing from the youth team to their B side in 2015. After 55 league appearances, he transitioned to their first-team, featuring in 91 league matches across four seasons.
On 2 November 2019, he played his 100th game for Benfica, scoring in a 2-0 win over Rio Ave. After Dias scored the opening goal in a 2-0 win over Moreirense on 26 September 2020, manager Jorge Jesus admitted he had likely played his last game for the club.
